Custom Fabrication in the Shop and the Field from WINBCO

Custom fabrication is the bread and butter of what we do here at the WINBCO Tank Company and it’s the service that we’re highlighting in our article today. We’ve been an industry leader in custom tank and tank system fabrication for nearly a century, and over the years, we’ve gained a reputation for offering the absolute best in quality, reliability, and performance. And as the use of tanks has expanded, so has our impact across the various industries that use them. Today we provide innovative and custom tank solutions to industries such as ethanol & corn mills, sustainable biofuels, sustainable aviation fuels, chemical processing, food & beverage and oil storage–and that’s just the start.

Designing, Building, and Testing Your Custom Tank All In-House

We operate out of a facility spanning more than 80,000 square feet in the heart of the Midwest, specializing in stainless steel, Alloys & Carbon Steel fabrication. We handle everything from design to delivery, and handle a variety of operations like shearing, punching, press brake, roll forming, plasma arc cutting, as well as manual, semi-automatic or auto welding. Our customers can request a standard tank or pressure vessel with customizations for size, material, internal and external design pressure, design temperature, tank support, and design-specific gravity.

Bringing our Expertise to the Field

At Winbco, our field teams are equipped to assemble these larger tanks on-site rather than in our facility. This capability allows us to offer far more flexibility in the size of tanks we can build.   The field crews are fully certified for both safety and fabrication, enforcing the strictest safety standards and maintaining all appropriate codes. WINBCO has built reactors, storage tanks, SACC tanks, dome and steep-roof tanks, fermenter tanks, and much more.
